Main position objectives

The Spare Parts Salesperson provides the highest quality of parts support to our customers for their Gala Underwater Pelletizing Systems. Third party equipment parts support may also be required if supplied with the Gala system.

Position description – Tasks, responsibilities, competencies

· Works within the spare parts department; however, primarily focuses on die plates (domestic and international).

· Determines all die plate selling prices

· Works with die plate engineering and R&D to determine the appropriate die plate to quote/order.

· Researches and quotes die plate upgrade/change-out requests

· Understands the basics of how die plates are manufactured and assembled.

· Quotes repair charges for die plates that are returned for repair.

· Works proactively on obtaining orders from customers and processing them through the system.

· Interacts with the service department to process service & warranty / no charge type orders.

· Reads engineering drawings to help customers identify parts that are needed.

· Works closely with engineering, technical service, operations, and major equipment sales to develop customer focused solutions.

· Determines lost business and develops/implements a plan to gain it back.

· Answers customer’s phone calls and emails in a way that positively represents the company.

· Works with customers (domestic and export) on quotes and orders and does so in an expedited manner.

· Issues return authorizations and follows through when the parts are returned determining credit that may be due or repairs that may be needed.

· Follows all export compliance rules

· Negotiates Terms and Conditions when required

· Works 40 hours per week - Overtime may be required

· Other tasks as assigned by manager.

Work Environment

· Work in this position is in the office. Occasional travel to the shop floor may occur and will require steel toe shoes and additional PPE. Possible travel to a customer location may be needed.
